Our Partner and Senior Associate delivered a comprehensive session on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) within the context of International Business Transactions. The discussion focused on the concept, objectives, and forms of FDI, as well as the legal and regulatory framework governing foreign investment in Indonesia. Students were introduced to the importance of legal certainty, investment protection, and compliance in supporting international business activities.
In addition, the session explored the strategic role of legal advisors in cross-border transactions, including risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and structuring international investments. Through practical insights and case-based discussion, students gained a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by foreign investors in conducting business in Indonesia.
